Reflecting on the past two years and the lessons we learnt on the importance of social connection and community resilience, this year’s theme is ‘Building resilience by bringing people together’. The aim is to look forward to rebuilding a more resilient and connected community as many of us re-emerge from the lockdowns that saw so many Australians isolated during this unprecedented time in our country’s history.
Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre is working together with our young people in the community by providing a safe and supportive Youth Space with a dedicated Youth Worker. We are working in partnership with Local Schools, Local Young People, The Local Drug Action Team, Kincumber Community Drug action team (CDAT) and The Youth Interagency networks. We are developing programs that address risk taking and antisocial behavior, support the needs of local Young People and also celebrate our wonderful young people and their contribution to our community.
We believe young people are our future leaders and by providing a space for young people to come together and work on solutions to issues that affect them will empower our most vulnerable. We provide safe youth events, skills development programs with industry mentors and programs that inspire young people to ‘get to better’ and achieve their aspirations and dreams. We love hearing from young people on how we can work with them and believe this will impact the community in a positive way.

We are very proud to be the recipients of a Pretty Pink shiny new Share the Dignity Vending Machine!
Access to sanitary items is a right, not a privilege, and that no one should ever have to choose between eating and taking control of their period.
This Pink Box ensures FREE access to pads and tampons to the most vulnerable in our community.
Each free period pack contains 2 pads and 6 tampons and is available at the push of a button to anyone in the local community who is doing it tough.
We are open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm to the community.
