April School Holiday Art Workshops with Alexi Kaye.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS
Come and have fun in the art workshop space for 2 exciting and creative art workshops at the Kincumber Neighborhood Centre during the April School Holidays, with Alexi Kaye!! Be as creative as you desire! Do one class, or both in a discounted duo package!
Shapes and Patterns - Wed the 16th of April. Ages around 7 and up. Kids under 7 may need your supervision.
Inspired by patterns from all around the world (provided by Alexi), your child will be guided to design and draw/paint/craft patterns on paper masks/paper posters/ laminates/ greeting cards (or any other pieces they may want to create). Please stay with your child if you are unsure whether they can be engaged for the full hour and half workshop.
Who Am I? - My Goals and Dreams!: Wed the 23rd of April. Ages 7 and up. Kids under 7 may need your supervision.
Your child will be given the art and craft materials to create a visualisation or dream board where they are free to express their dreams or whatever is important to them at this time! Their art work aims to be a reminder of what is important to them - something they can look at every day to remind what them what is they value. They will have the space to do this with no other agenda, except to express themselves with art and maybe get closer to something that is close to them!! Please stay with your child if you are unsure whether they can be engaged for the full hour and half workshop.
A bit about Alexi: Alexi is a musician/singer/songwriter and visual artist. Her passion for all things art were fuelled by the interest in Art she grew up around. Though she has spent much of her life in the music arena performing and teaching, Alexi ’s love for Art took her to create a body of work which she exhibited in Melb in 2015 in an exhibit called ‘Infinite Variations, Infinite possibilities’ - line and design work which was a reflection of her upbringing in South Africa and Australia as well as a reflection of the immense wealth of designs and patterns she was exposed to growing up in both those countries.
